In the field of audio collection and repair, due to the age of antique speakers, long-term use or storage environment, there are often magnet demagnetization problems, resulting in weak sound, declining resolution, low-frequency loss, losing the original sound quality level. Relying on professional magnetizing equipment and mature technology, JiuJu Automation has completed many cases of antique speaker magnetization repair, and the following combines real data and practical procedures to introduce the technology and examples in detail.

The repair is a classic antique bookshelf speaker unit, service over thirty years, the user feedback sound muffled, lack of dynamics, no obvious physical damage, the initial judgment for the natural demagnetization of the magnet. Repair personnel first Gauss meter on the center of the magnetic circuit for accurate detection.Magnetic field strength of only 133.5 gauss before magnetizationThis is the core reason for the deterioration of the sound quality, which is much lower than the magnetic field strength required for normal operation.

The core of magnetization restoration is to replenish the magnetism of demagnetized magnets through professional equipment to restore the working performance of the magnetic circuit. JUJI uses customized pulse magnetizer with special coils suitable for antique horns to clean the surface of the magnetic circuit of dust and impurities, to avoid magnetic interference during magnetization; and then accurately fix the horns on the magnetizing tooling, to ensure that the magnets are aligned with the center of the coils, and to prevent bias magnetism from leading to uneven magnetization.

The parameters of the equipment are debugged according to the characteristics of antique magnets, adopting low-voltage, short pulse mode to avoid high current damage to the speaker cone, voice coil and other fragile parts. After starting the equipment, the pulsed magnetic field instantly acts on the magnet to complete the directional magnetization. The whole process is safe and controllable, no overheating, no deformation, and maximize the protection of the original appearance of the antique unit.

After the magnetization was completed and cooled down for ten minutes, the same Gaussmeter and the same test point were used again for retesting.Magnetic field strength stabilized to 360.8 gaussThe magnetism is restored to a healthy level and the magnetic field is evenly distributed without localized overcharging or undercharging. The data enhancement is real and reasonable, without over-pursuing high values, to ensure the long-term stable work of the magnet.
